Hi,

I recently purchased a Zoa Frag, my first, for my 32 gal set up. I had no issues until recently, when an unwanted guest started popping up between the polyps. I’m pretty sure they’re clove polyps and they are rapidly raking over the frag. Most of the Zoa polyps are now closed constantly.

I suspect I need to remove the clove polyps, but my newbie question is how? Do I mechanically remove them? Are there any precautions I need to take?

Nope just make sure to get the whole clove body when you rip them off the zoas.

Ugh. Sorry to see this. I had clove polyps that infested everything. To @Saltyreef point just pick them out. It s lot like weeding dandelions. Try not to get behind in the maintenance like I did
