Added my last two fish last week, Carpenters Flasher Wrasse and a Royal Gramma. They spent 18 days in the QT and I started Copper- but the Wrasse began swimming on its back. I started the Copper at one half the recommended dose- but the Wrasse did not look well. I did a water change and ran with no Copper and he perked up.
I did treat with Prazi-Pro after.
Everyone is getting along in the tank:
2 clowns
1 Star Blennie
1 Carpenters Flasher Wrasse
1 Royal Gramma
1 Fire Shrimp
2 Hermits
5 Trocus Snails
2 Nasarrius Snails
I got home from work two days ago and did a 20 % water change. I deep vacuumed the sand bed and changed my floss.
For my filtration I have filter floss, Chemi Pure Elite and a bio media in a In Tank basket. I have some rubble rock and Chaeto in my refugium basket with a light on it at night.
I started feeding through a defrost cup on the side of the tank. I have been feeding about a 1/2 cube of frozen shrimp each day.
I did scrape some algae off the glass this am.
Tonight I checked my water:
Nitrates -0
Selenity-1.025
PH 8.4
Ammonia- .2...
Not sure how to lower the Ammonia or where it is coming from. I am going to do a water change tonight. I use RODI water and have switched over to Red Sea Pro salt.
I did test with both an API test kit and my Red Sea test kit, the API kit barely registered the Ammonia.
What am I missing?
