Week 8 - Corallife Purple bad for fish?

Ammonia close to 0ppm.
pH 8
Nitrate 5ppm

First clownfish dead right after adding Coralife Purple - around week 6. Lasted about 2-3weeks.

Second clownfish dead after adding more Corallife Purple - around week 7. Lasted about 2-3 weeks.

Around the same time I started getting brown algae.

Purple spots started to appear around the same time. is it coralline? pictures attached.

Calcium readings were around 400ppm.

My main goal is to eventually add coral.

3 turbo snails and 2 hermit crabs remain healthy.

anything I should be adding or checking?

Does the Corallife Purple kill fish?

Never used the product but no it is not supposed to hurt anything in your tank. Maybe it was expired? Did you dose according to instructions?
