Week 8 or 9 ? No Algae?

im possibly on week 8 or 2, finished my long slow cycle had a fish for possible 1 week or a little more. I had a little tiny bit of brown algae?? i think it was then it disapeared on its own.. aquarium seems too clear..shouldnt i have some green algae or something by now so i can introduce a CuC ?

I am in the exact same situation. I just started running my lights all day a few days ago. Starting to get a few brown spots. Time will tell.
 
we can ride this out together haha, except ive been leaving my light on for roughly 10 hrs a day and shutting it off at night.

Sorry for the confusion. When I said "all day" I meant only during the day. They are on 10-12 hours including the ramp up and down.

If you want some algae, I have tons. Cyano, both red and green. Hair and some bubble.
It will come unless you are extremely lucky. If you dont get any, buy a lotto ticket cause you are a lucky person.
I have had some rocks cycling for 2 to 3 months without algae growing. Added corals and bingo.......
 
ah, maybe im missing coral then... really i only have 1 clown and 1 nass snail chillen..
