Prepping for two week vacation so, for house sitter:
- Daily checklist
- Divvy up frozen food into tiny Tupperware containers
- Fill up ATO container w/instructions to fill again at 1 week mark
- Connect battery backup to power head (((automatic but don't leave it hooked up usually)))
- Get air pumps/stones assembled and easily "findable" in case of unexpected (long) power outage

...almost forgot,,, cross fingers and bail!

Need to do a water change on my dumb algae nano.. going to be setting up a new reactor but prolly not until after the weekend as its in shipping.. and just setting up a qt for an incoming pintail fairy.

This is a good thread but wait till it is a 6 month or more. I have friends but have had to reduce my expectations. I have come to realize most things had to change.
I now only have mainly feed dry food that can be fed by machine.
I have auto water fill and a reserve water tank that holds 150 gals. About 3 month supply. My sump is changes to filter socks that can last at least 1 week before changing. I’ve had a few people forget to follow those instructions as well.
I have returned home to see a tank emptied because they thought it best.
i have also returned to see all my wonderful hard corals total wiped out.
I have now accepted that no matter how much prep something can still go wrong. Have a great vacation. No, worries. Lol
