I have a 55 gallon freshwater tank on an interior wall. I have a custom 20 gallon salt with built in sump housing my livestock while I build and fill my Red Sea reefer 250. My question is if I’m in an older built home with true real timber would it be fine to fill the Red Sea without any weight concerns. The Red Sea and the 20 gallon together are 85 gallons and on exterior load bearing wall.

Are the tanks running across or parallel to your floor joists? For maximum support, you want them running across your joists.
You can also add jacks underneath the joists if you want to be extra sure. I did that in a prior house in my basement. I had a 125 and I placed two 8ft jacks underneath the beams just for safety.

So I’m almost certain that they run across. I’m in a second story apartment so I would not be able to Jack underneath or 2 columns would be put under like you mentioned! I’m in construction and took into account a lot of factors but I just needed some second opinions before my clowns are in my downstairs neighbors bath tub lol!

You’re fine. 85Gallons of water isn’t a ton of weight. It’s like having 3 grown men standing in your room
True very true I just wasn’t sure with 85 on one wall and the 55 gallon on the interior wall (in the bottom left in picture) would be to much weight for the span of the floor. 140 gallons plus stands is a bit of weight but I trust everyone’s judgement!
