I'd be lloking for food grade. Either Potassium Chloride for Potassium dosing or Sodium/Calcium Nitrate for Nitrate dosing.

Potassium Nitrate 100.0% Weight Percent means that that company bought a bag that is labeled as potassium nitrate, filled some of it, and nothing else, in a smaller bag, and offer to sell that to you.

It doesn't mean that potassium nitrate is the only thing in there, just that they mixed in nothing extra in addition to the expected impurities.

Purity of that is probably "technical" as in "enough to work, not worth our time to measure properly"

Not sure why you would bother even risking this. As stated sodium Nitrate if you are trying to raise nitrates. Food grade isn't that expensive and works great. I had a tank that was running 0 nitrates. $10 for a bag and 3 days later I have 5ppm. Maybe your wanting to use it for something else?

Weight percent is rarely any useful indicator of purity that we care about.

i discuss that specific issues in this question of the day.
