Weight of a canopy?

So I built a canopy for my 40g breeder. It’s got some weight to it. What’s the max weight for a canopy on a 40 breeder?

Purely guessing but 20 lbs. you do some beautiful work by the way!

I don’t know the answer, but that is an amazing looking canopy! You would probably get an accurate answer from the tanks manufacturer I would think.

Beautiful canopy, honestly I wouldn't worry about the weight. It doesn't look THAT heavy when you compare it to all the HOB Equipment most people use on rimmed tanks. And your canopy's weight is distributed much more evenly across the entire top of the tank. Now get that thing finished so we can see pictures if it on your tank!

Thanks for the replies here’s my fall back plan. I was going to build supports around the tank not too appealing but peice of mind but not sure yet
