Weight of a reef aquarium

I am wondering if anyone knows a general rule of thumb of was size reef can be safely put on a second floor of a home? Or if there is a reliable chart out there somewhere.

I didn't really dig into the article that much. I can tell you that when I had a 125g on my first floor, I put two adjustable jack posts underneath it in the basement for extra support.

8.5 lbs per gallon. Also factor empty tank weight, weight of stand and weight of rock and weight of sump with water. As in my case, My large tank at home weighs 8873 lbs

I’m trying to decide which way to go with my next tank without too much headache. I know what tanks and water weigh, just seeing if anyone knew of some kind of a chart for load bearing on Second floor, joists, next to a wall...
