Does anyone know how much a empty rectangular tank measuring 96" long x 36" front to back and 46" tall weigh? It is made of 1" acrylic. I have the chance to buy a lift cart that would greatly help me move it but it has a weight limit of 500 lbs.

1" acrylic weighs 5.7 lbs per square foot (according to this manufacturer site)

The front and back panels would be ~175 lbs each so ~350 lbs [((96*46)/144)*5.7 = 174.8]
Side panels would be ~65 each so ~ 130 lbs [((36*46)/144)*5.7 = 65.55]
Bottom panel we're gonna guestimate at ~175 lbs as well [((96*46)/144)*5.7 = 174.8]

So you're looking at around 655 lbs for the weight of the tank.

Thanks everyone! Have to find another option to lift it the 30" onto the stand.
Good luck! You may have to bribe some friends with Pizza and/or Beer ;)
