I'm newly back into the hobby this year...first FOWLR tank in 1980 so be easy on me
I have 2 what I think are strange pairings going on and wonder if they are more "normal" than I would think.
In one nano tank I have an Occilaris clown that seems to have bonded with a Hawaiian Feather Duster. Seems it was lonely by itself and nothing else in the tank even remotely resembling an anemone. At first the feather duster would just draw back in itself, but now they are good buddies with the clown playing in the feathers all day long and even trying to sleep in them.
In another nano tank I have a firefish that seems to have bonded with a tiger serpent starfish. They both live in the same cave. The serpent lays on the sand or partially buries itself, while the firefish lays on top of him most of the day and even sleeps on him at night. The serpent doesnt seem to mind at all.
Are these kind of bondings more normal than I think or is it a disaster waiting to happen?
