Ok so I have a 20 gal that is plumbed into my main. This is my clown and nem tank. It was a 150w MH 14k. Water quality is pretty good, little to none nitrates and the phos is up a little, alk and ph stay pretty stable. I have the mag a little higher trying to get rid of bycropsis that only seems to grow in the 20 gallon and not my main or refugium.

as far as flow goes there is one powerehead in the nem tank plus the water output into the tank.

there isnt a ton of rocks, but there is about 5 which tank up about 1/3 of the tank, plenty of places for them to stick there foot into.

So the Rbta walks around all the time, moves every day. He used to sit in one spot on the highest rock with his foot just on top of the rock, never burried it or anything just out in the open. He was in that one spot for maybe 6 months and now he moves all the time, for the past 2 weeks he has been on the glass of the front of the tank and still moves to a different spot every day.

Any idea why he is doing this. My green bta moves a bit but is now living where the rbta used to live.

any input would be great

it is a rather old bulb, last night he was only hanging onto the glass with like a dime part of his foot, and his foot is normally like tennis ball size.

He eventually let loos and fell to the sand, i thought we were loosing him, i picke him up and put him on a rock to see if he would stay there and maybe attach.

In the last 3 hours he split into 2, and maybe 3 by the end of the day, one half is larger and still elongated.
