Weird Centipede looking creature from liverock/macro algea?

No, it is not a bristleworm, I work in an aquarium and know my stuff, but i've never seen anything like this guy.

Here's some info: he appeared a few hours after placing my cheato macro algea into my refugium, so i think that may be where he came from, or possibly the live rock and didn't make an appearance for a few weeks. He swims like a shrimp, but loves to only swim upwards. He only appeared while i was feeding the tank, just kind popped out of nowhere and swam into the filter where i caught him. Picture below:

Edit: Forgot to mention my guess; I think it's an isopod of some sort, but i'd like a specific ID and if it's safe with coral and smaller inverts.

I found some information saying they eat detritus. And they come in all different colors from clear, brown, black.

I added him back to my tank, and he ignored my small blue hermits and crawled on my rocks, eating a few things here and there. Definitely a helpful isopod, woke up this morning and don’t see him though, probably in the rock somewhere.
