I have a large green mussel with some coral growing on it and a group of small clear polyps formed overnight. I would like to know what they are to know if it's positive or not. I'll attach pictures here and any information would be most appreciated.

Chances are they didnt grow overnight.

Could be a few different things. Looks like there is a bunch of life on that rock

The polyps are likely aptasia.

If possible, a clearer photo might help. Try adjusting the lighting when taking the photo.

Im leaning towards the remnants of a soft coral like xenia or anthelia coming back...a better pic would def help.

That’s really cool. Can I see a picture of the mussle ?(I like bivalves)
The red matting makes me think of a chili coral. An NPS coral. Likely open only sometimes during the day like at feeding time and retract into the skin completely when closed.

I'm not ruling out aptasia as they are in early stages, however, looking at the tentacles they look like they have frills on them which isnt like aptasia but more like clove polyps or something of the sort.
