I have two clowns one snowflake and other black and white stripe both are ocellaris (sorry if misspelled ) they sleep together but don't swim together through the day I've had the larger female (snowflake) for about year b half she was paired with a regular Nemo before but he died so now I tried to add this male about 3 mos later they did their Lil dominance dance and he surrendered with no problems but now he just seems to loom around in their sleeping area and not swim through the tank like he used to does anyone have any input to share on this matter please

My only input is that clowns are weird!!! Hard to figure out their behavior. My clowns rarely leave the nem.

I second that clowns are just weird sometimes. I have two ocellaris and the female almost dwarfs the male. The male has always taken the normal male role but recently I moved some rocks around (went bare bottom) and the male all of a sudden kept biting the female and acted like a jerk to other tank mates. After about three days, back to normal

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Over time they most likely will behave like a normal pr, and if not, chalk it up to clowns being clowns.

One of my clowns (female) stays in or very near cave all day while the male swims around more. At night they will both venture around before heading in to sleep. Very odd fish!
