Weird film

Hey guys, just curious what this film in my return pump section is! I’m going through my ugly stage and all water levels are good and my clean up crew is working hard! I just noticed this film, I’m about to change my sponges and charcoal, but didn’t know if I should be alarmed at this!

Did you dose anything? Sometimes the film is either residue from product or air bubbles. And yes the ugly stage is normal and will subside. Lowering the lights and a good clean up crew will help.

I haven’t dosed anything, I will def lower the lights I didn’t think of this thank you!

It could also be an oil film from fish food/poop or even oil from your hands etc. that wasn’t filtered out. Either way I wouldn’t worry too much about it especially if it’s just in the one spot. It doesn’t hurt too much to remove it either.
