Okay so I went to look at my tank after lights out and my trachy is closed like usual but I see a weird section of flesh on its underside. It was opened up all day looking wonderful. Curious if anyone has seen something like this before? It looks like some sort of sweeper tentacle or flesh trying to fight off something.

I am going through a battle with Dino’s but this guy has been one of the few who don’t seem to mind.

Ones a further shot one is as close as I could get.

Looks like maybe messenterial filaments. Maybe the coral got scraped by the clean up crew, or by something else? I would only worry if it stops inflating during the day.

Agree on filaments. I generally try to keep my pieces off sand as you never know what lives within.

Thanks everyone!

All flesh was above the sand a few months ago when I purchased the piece but it’s grown so much since then. I’ve seen hermit drag their shells across my acans and this trachy but never noticed any damage.
