Does anyone have an idea what this is growing next to a new frag I just bought? Should I be worried, Thanks!

Looks like clove polyps and the kind that can take over in a really fast bad way. I'm not sure if these can be killed without harming your zoa.

Clove polyps. cover it with coral glue or reef safe super glue. just try not to cover the zoa. if you do accidentally cover the zoa dont worry. In a few minutes they should slime up so you can easily remove the glue with your finger nails or tweezers.

Agree with above, it is clove polyps. They are a nightmare as they cover any available surface in a reef and will crowd out other corals. Best to address them now before they become a bigger problem. I would suggest removing the rock from that plug and putting on a new plug. Then cover the remaining rock surface with super glue gel like stated above, without getting it on the rasta zoa. Worst case fenbendazole will kill the clove polyps, but depending on what else you have in your tank, I would suggest doing that treatment in a QT tank.
