Weird hippo tang experience

Ok lately my hippo is being picking up snails and swims the up to the top of the aquarium and drops them but today it picked up one of my chalice frag and drop it on top of my monti cap do you guys get the same behavior from hippos

Mine used to do the same, hasn't in a long time though. It was always chalice frags for me, never snails.

I wonder if is a natural behavior from hippos and I wonder what's the significance of it

Mine only did it for a short while, reminded me of a trigger.

Mine likes to gulp air and swim down and release them. Does it 30 times in a row.

Mine has moved several unglued frags into his sleeping area.

I wonder why they do it. I mean mines even goes crazy in the morning until I feed the tank and then it calms down. It's like a dog.

Mine did it a lot a while back, it has slowed down with it a good bit but still doesn't very once and a while. It mostly picks up loose frags.

I picked up a small one a couple of years ago from the LFS in Nashville while there for the swap. He was just over an inch long. He was a model citizen for awhile. After about 18 months though he was between 5-6 inches long and began to go rogue on my zoas and palys. My wife was ****** when I finally caught him and traded him in to our LFS. I thought at first he was just getting algae between the polyps until I watched him for a couple days. He was just tearing straight into the polyps. I really liked him too but whenever he took out some of my prized polyps it was time to go!
