Weird Midas blenny?!

My tank is relatively new going through diatom bloom and the Midas is picking relentlessly at the diatoms...is that normal lol I didn't think he'd touch it

I had a midas blenny also they are pretty interesting to watch, ours liked to pickup mouth fulls of sand swim up and spit it out, he also like to do that to small snails and crabs that came near him!
