Looks like an isopod maybe
It just flattend out and looks like a chitin now. I'm stumped. It's definitely a segmented shell on this creature. I'm gonna let him stay. Unless....... lolLooks like an isopod maybe
This rock was used to start a new one in January. First appearance for this guy. There are definitely chitins in this rock but none like this. I'm still finding things now. It's 30lbs of KPaquatics and 30lbs TB live rock. I always cure in the tank. The die off creates nutrients for an almost immediate cycle with the bonus of these surprises. Thanks.Chiton is a good guess... did you bring in "fresh reef rock"

nice diverse tank faunahere's my new friend all spread out. I'm sticking with chitin but the red fleshy skirt is new to me. I'm going to assume he's good. Looks like a grazer to me.![]()
Thanks. I let mine go pretty wild. Not much gets removed. Lol. Mostly corals and fish love it. So many cool things in quality live rock. I've been fascinated with hitchhikers since the 70s.nice diverse tank fauna
