Weird Pipe Tube in rocks and corals

Hello Reefers,

I hope everyone is having a safe and wonderful weekend. Can anyone ID what this is on rocks and corals?

Vermetid snails. Snap off tubes at base where worm is or superglue shut. Bumblebee snails may or may not help as well. Often will go away on their own in mature tanks eventually.

Unfortunately, they are vermetid snails. +1 to above’s post for removal

Debatable. They can spread relatively quickly and release this string-like mucus to feed that can irritate some corals. If they remain in check, not a problem, but if there are a bunch in a concentrated area the strings can turn into a net of sorts blanketing over nearby coral. They can also eventually make your rock looks like some medieval torture device with all the hard pointy tubes sticking out. I will periodically go thru my tank and crush all the ones I can reach.

Thank you for your feedback, learned a-lot from you all. I seen them for months in my tank all over the rocks and never thought nothing of them. I just removed a few big ones that could be reached. I will get some Bumblebee snails soon.
