I have had a tube anemone for about 18 months and she has flourished. About a week ago she disappeared in the tube for about a day. The next day she popped out at the other end. Is this fine. The problem is that she left the old tube sticking above the sand. I have tried to bury it twice, and within a few hours it is back above the sand. I have thought about putting that end into a PVC pipe and burying the PVC but I don’t know if there’s some reason she needs that portion sticking up. Have you seen this before? Any suggestions?

I've got two currently that use both ends of the tube from time to time. Too much flow in one area is what seems to dictate where they emerge. No issues. If the turd sticking out of the sand bed annoys you, dig the entire thing up and replant it a half inch below the sand. The tube won't care.
