What the heck is this circle mark on my wrasse? It wasn’t there earlier today. Is it some kind of bite mark, urchin pricks, or anemone sting?

I’ve never seen anything so symmetrical when it comes to stuff like this. Could be an injury but I would probably FW dip just to be sure.

Could it be a sting from getting punched with one of my pom pom crabs anemones? It’s about the right size

I guess anything is possible because like I said I’ve never seen a perfect circle when it comes to typical illnesses, parasites, etc.

I’m pretty scared to do a FW dip. I’ve only done it on two fish before and they both died shortly after. I think they both had velvet but it still makes me nervous.

If you set it up properly the fish shouldn’t have an issue. Typically if done properly and the fish doesn’t survive it wouldn’t have survived anyways. If you follow these instructions you should not have a problem. The biggest things are matched temp, 5 min max, and just a squirt of tank water to raise PH as you put the fish in. Aerate the FW prior to dipping.

I am stumped.. could be a bite from some invert, or large parasite...

I personally haven't seen anything like this.

Any white stringy poop from this Wrasse?

Could be internal parasites working their way out of the fish.

I cannot say with certainty, but if you have a large clownfish, their bites can look like that. I'm sure other things biting can cause a mark like that too. If it's looking better then I would leave it alone.
