Weird Sand Clumps

Hey y'all,

So for about a month, I've had these weird clumps of sand that honesty look like kitty litter leftovers (assuming, I don't have a cat, haha). When I've pulled them out and sprayed them down, there's nothing inside, just some clear goop between them.

This has happened when I've had an anemone die in the past, but that's been a bit so I'm a bit at a loss. They seem harmless, but I'm curious as to what's causing them. Any thoughts?

Hi Randy, I'm having a problem with my sand sticking together. If I stick my hands in every week and check the sandbed I find the sand sticking together. Some of it breaks up and some of it actually gets hard like a rock. Especially occurs around the rocks and frags that are on the sand bed...
