So I've had a new saltwater tank sitting for a couple of weeks since like a little bit before New Years of 2023. I used to have 2 clownfish but there was a parasite that killed them both that they apparently had both had from the place I'd bought them from. So, as suggested, I've set my tank to 80 degrees and I'm letting it sit for 60 days total before putting anything new in. All there is in the tank so far is a Xenia coral fragment and 2 live rocks. I was looking over at my tank and saw this little guy in there. First of all I'm wondering how it even got here in the first place and second of all what it is and if it's harmful to the tank.

Thanks,
~Zbk

I've had them come in on frag plugs when I ordered corals. They can scrunch down small and you don't notice them until they start going around the tank.

Ohh ok that makes a lot of sense now. Yeah I just got my first coral frag a while back so that's probably 100% where it came from
