It's only a little over 1cm in length, well maybe 2 stretched out. I found it gluing some leather frags. Despite being on the frag I would say it does not eat coral as I have tons of those frags and other then tiny sps frags that were on clean plugs I have not added anything to my tank in some time.

It's very possible this has been around years so it is unlikely to be harmful but I am still hesitant to put it back. Any ideas what it could be?

Tagging along because... what the heck... LOL...

Looks like it may be molting

Any suggestions on where to look for an id? I looked through wetwebmedia but couldn't find it there either. It's been a long long time since I found some random thing in my tank that I could not ID.

Have you noticed anything about its behavior or habits?

Has it finished molting ?

About a day after my last post it completely broke down to nothing. I never put it back in the tank and it was in that little plastic cylinder. Interesting to think how much bacteria is in this 30ml of water or so.

Still no closer to an ID but I really don't know where to look.
