Hi
I am in the 14th day of fallow and my DT contains crabs and snails. My sump has chaeto and had algae on the glass so I moved 2 mexican turbo snail to sump. Now I can see a lot of "poop" in the sump, a lot of GHA, some brown algae and these creatures. I noticed some of them are in my DT. Should I worry about them? What is that? Will they eat my corals? I assume the problem will disappear when I add fish and they will eat it but it will be in 60 days or so.
Please advise.

hi its a nudi for sure ,research find out what kind ,good or bad,go from there happy reefing

Looks like a nudibranch. I think some are reef safe, some aren't. Cool creature.

Dang fishguy you beat me by 5 seconds.

getting a little quicker on the trigger lol

Man I would get rid of them ASAP. Almost all nudis eat coral (Berghia excluded). Usually they look like the coral they eat in coloration.

Zoa eating nudibranch
Get rid of it and hopefully it left no eggs in the system

It was a horrible evening. I drained my sump since there were plenty of them. I killed I think everything inside sump but there are some in my DT. I killed as much as I could but I bet tomorrow I will see more.
I don't have plenty of zoas or montipora and I think I can handle such a loss just in case. Will this nudibranch dies when they will eat all zoas or montipora - depends what kind of corals they eat?

I cannot google a black nudibranch. What I can see on the Internet is that nudibranch mimics color of the colar and I don't have any black corals :/

I would say most likely a nudi of some type just make sure to watch for any thing in the display and you could always put a wrasse down there if it’s safe to do so, they love eating up nudis

I cannot add any fish. My tank has ich and I am in fallow period for another 60 days.
