Weird spiral worm thing

Can anyone tell me what this is on this toadstool? It just came into a store near me and they have no idea either so they asked me.

Not sure, but I would guess snail eggs.

I'll guess spaghetti worm but that is probably not correct either.

Eggs is what I'd guess ... but possibly nudibranch eggs.

They're wise to keep the coral segregated; most nudibranchs seem to feed on some sort of coral or other cnidarian, or in some cases toxic sponges . . .

Looks like the egg mass of a nudibranch. Hopefully you did not end up with a nudibranch
