Overnight these weird tube things started releasing white string like slime. Anyone know what the heck it is?

Vermetid snail mucus webs or spoinid worm tentacles.

Are those bad? Does the mucus harm the tank?
The mucus can bother corals, yes. That rock looks full of them. How much and how often are you feeding the tank? Their numbers will increase and decrease with how much leftover food is in the tank for them to consume.

Here’s a video I shot of a vermitid reeling in its catch. They’re cool to watch, but their mucus can foul up your corals if they’re nearby. Many people glue them closed with super glue.

Looks like digitate hydroids which spread quickly and can sting. Overfeeding will support them so cut back on feeding. A clearer pic will help decipher which it actually is ( under white lights)

They are everywhere. I would ha e to take e everything out of the tank. Scrape them off the overflow ( which is covered) then go through 100 lbs of live rock..

Get some Aquamaxx reef weld. Make small balls of it and then smear it over them. I do that to my hydroids with the purple colored one.

Cool I will give it a try. Show I try to scrape the tubes off after awhile?

I will use one of the glass cleaner/ algee scraper and wipe them out
