I’ve owned saltwater fish for a while but it wasn’t until two months ago I started getting small coral frags and ocean-harvested live rock. I’ve had this frag for two months, I believe it’s a tiny GSP, and it’s doing great. I added another frag a week ago, a small piece of rock with several tiny species on it. Today I noticed a small patch of green covering part of the frag plug that looks like moss and what I thought was one of my hairs. I pulled the “hair” out, and that is what is shown in the picture - sorry if it’s blurry, my mobile uploads seem to turn out bad, maybe clicking on the picture will help load it with higher resolution? Anyways, is it algae, what kind, and is it harmful? I couldn’t get a good picture of the moss-like stuff so I left it out.
