weird sump levels

We have some weird stuff going on with sump levels in Verdell's 90g.

It sounds to me that Brew12's assessment is correct. I suppose you have a stand pipe in the overflow to which the vinyl tubing is connected on the sump side. Have you asked Charles to take a look at both the standpipe and the vinyl tubing?

last time they looked it was algae in the overflow teeth.

If I can find my borescope I need to check out the stand pipe and drain.
