Weird "thing" growing and moving

Hi everyone,

I just noticed this little "thing" growing and moving on the base of one of my zoas. Any idea what this could be? Is it a new leg of the zoa or a worm like thing? Very tempted to pull it off...

vermetid snail. I would remove it as they are known to irritate coral
