Weird tubes on bottom of nem?

I just got this bubble tip from my LFS and am noticing these two tubes under the base of the nem. There is some substrate from the LFS stuck to the bottom of the nem still so I'm not sure if its something it scooped up and am kinda hoping it'll "walk" away so i can see. Any clues?

They look like they could be zoas or plays. Or maybe a pest anemone species like majano. They aren't opening because of the BTA. Have you tried to move them or remove them so we can see if they open up?

Those definitely look like some kind of paly or zoa. Try to move them away from the anemone, as the anemone will constantly sting them as well as shade. You may have gotten a free frag with you BTA.

You guys are right but i think the nem killed it because they wouldn't open or show any sign of life bummer! Would've been a sweet hitchhiker!

Palys/zoas don't die easily. If they look similar to that picture then you just have to move them, make sure they don't get covered in sand, and watch them for a couple of weeks. They will most likely recover.
