WEIRD!!! What are these on my dunkan?!?!?!

I’ve been noticing spots on my dunkan the past week or so and today they’ve made it to the fleshy part of the coral from the stock (I have another thread with pics of them on the stock). Additionally. When I turned flow off to get pics of them under white lights and regular light schedule, 2 dark spots came out of its mouth and started walking around. The ones marked with the pink arrows look something like a baby stomatella snail. I know for sure that I have one in my tank(can they reproduce by themselves). The ones marked with yellow arrows are the dark spots that came out of the dunkans mouth. When I turned flow back on, I saw an additional dark spot come out and go into the water column. The dunkan seems un-bothered by its buddies. Does anyone know what these critters are?

Thanks! I’m gonna start researching them. Do you have an idea what the dark spots are? They looked similar to size and shape of a flea on dogs.

I can’t, he was glued down a couple months back and has started to encrust. By any chance do you know what the black spots pointed out by the yellow arrows are? Those walked right out of the corals mouth, cruised around for a bit n returned. I turned my flow back on after the glamour shots session and saw one walk out and go into the water column. They look like tiny specs.

a lot of soft body animals try to use mucous to protect themselves in sudden stressful environments, or shed a bunch in death

Don’t think the black spots are anything. Just diff pigments.

I would assume you will soon be seeing them all over your tank they reproduce quickly.
