I just noticed that the side of my goby looks like he has lost some color on the side of his face...has anyone seen something like this before? Not sure what it could be. He is usually hanging out with his shrimp under rocks, so I'm not sure how long he has looked like this.

I've been seeing similar issues with watchman's quite a bit recently. Is this lesion only on the left side, or does it show on the right side as well? In some cases, the problem has been flukes, in other cases, it seems to be a bacterial issue. How long have you had the fish? Has its behavior changed (out of its burrow, etc.)? Do you have the ability to move it to another tank for treatment?

It is only on the left. He has been out a bit more recently and I've probably had him for about a year. The only thing that has changed is his old pistol shrimp died about a month ago and it took him awhile to pair with our new shrimp. Other than that, everything has been fairly normal.
