Sorry no pics but hopefully someone can tell me what I just pulled off my zoa...

The zoa has been closed and shrinking for over a week now so I knew something was annoying it. This evening I spotted a tiny black and green (luminous green) worm type thing crawling over it. It was so small and bright it looked like one of the zoa polyps but had small pincers on the front with the black/green body looking slightly spiky. It came off easily when dipped and sort of curled up.

googling hasn’t helped other than rule out Christmas tree worm and bristle worm.

Google zoa eating nudibranch. More than likely that's what you are dealing with. They take on the color of the zoa they are eating.

That’s it! Thanks very much. Hopefully that’s the first and only one...some detritus came off in the dip which may or may not have been eggs..
