Santa is waiting for young ones to go to sleep. While that happens, I'd love some help! The local lfs says this is a rock flower anemone. It was hosting a Clown 2 separate visits. From what I've read, they don't usually host clowns. Anyone know what type of anemone this is so I can research for Fraggle?

That does appear to be a rock flower anemone. It's very interesting that it's hosting clownfish. Do you know what species of clown it is hosting? Rock flowers are not a host to any clown species in the wild.

I would jump on that anemone if you're interested, it looks healthy. Rock flowers are pretty easy nems, set it on a rock in the bottom 1/3 of the tank and its happy. They usually stay put too. Maybe put a deposit on it, and when your tank is cycled you can pick it up and the clownfish for your first fraggles.

Already tried. Lfs won't sell. They didn't even know it existed or what it was until I brought attention in their huge set up. Thinking of doing the 3 for 60 from www.aquariumcarecenter.com

Keep testing ammonia and nitrates... you might not ever see any using some live rock and Dr, Tim's.
I'd say to ghost feed the tank a small amount every day for a week. Just the amount you'd feed one fish, a tiny amount. If after a week you still dont have any ammonia and nitrates are coming up, you're safe to add some livestock.

Crystal clear this morning. Rock slated for a 28th delivery, sand tomorrow. Ready to put in that black ice clownfish I saw at the lfs.

Do youself a favor and add the rock first, then the sand. Your rock will be much more stable that way and if anything digs under the rocks it won't cause a rock slide.

Here fishy fishy fishy! Found my first pal. Black Ice clown. Picking one that has prance on tail. It also has some great blue bordering the black! Dr tims is going in tomorrow.

Probably gonna have one clown. Maybe adding a smaller one down the line, but worries about the bio load right off the bat.

So I can add a juv cinnamon clown to the one I have right now. One of my lfs told me I shouldn’t. The bigger one will harass the little one to death.

Rock came today... Bought sand last night... Worked a ton on the aqua scale. Rinsed everything in rodi. Salinity down to 1.024 as per the local fish store. Really excited to show this aquascape! Rock looks incredible in the tank...
