Well, it happened... ich :(

That’s not ich, the fish could also have ich, but the white spots look like broken fin rays
Jay

Thank you, Jay. None of my other fish exhibit any signs of ich or spots on the fins, so I may try banishing the shrimp and crab to the sump for a couple of weeks and continue to monitor the situation.

FWIW, over the past couple of days, the spots have started to fade a bit. No new spots have appeared. I’ve just been feeding a bit extra to keep him fat and happy. Looks like I dodged a bullet and it was just damaged rays.

Well, one week later and I just saw the first signs of ich on my Bella goby’s tail, and on my white tail tang. I think the physical damage I’ve been seeing on the fish was due to scratching on the rocks. I’m going to do my best to get everything out without destroying my aquascape and put them in a hospital tank with copper power. If I can get chloroquine phosphate from my vet sooner rather than later, would that be a better option?
