Thanks guys this pump was 8ft away from where he hangs out. He had been getting skinny but was eating. Must of had something going on.

That blows! These fish are insane but so cool but you just never know where they are going to end up.

So sorry for your loss.

I get REALLY attached to my clowns, more than any other fish. I individually and fondly remember every one I’ve ever kept.

Thanks and that’s me too. Clownfish are my all time faves. These two would let me work around or do anything around their eggs and not bite me. Hope I can find another good male!

Sucks to hear that. I had a maroon clown that was infested with internal parasites from the last owner who traded it into the lfs. I battled to keep alive for four months. After a few weeks in QT, I got it to start eating med-soaked food and it plumped up. I figured it had to be months past the life cycle of any parasite and it acted completely normal, so into the display it went. A week later it died. Sometimes this hobby punches you straight in the nuts.

Ugh hat to hear that!

I'm very sorry about your little guy :(

Bummer, I had a small Chromis that was near a MP40 when it started up after a feeding and poof, just like that it was sucked in and it was killed.

Sucks to lose anything that’s made it over a year. My condolences.

This is my fear when watching every movie where people sneak through the air vents, the fan never gets turned on in the movies. Reality, apparently, is different. RIP little fish!

Sorry about this. The problem is manufacturing needs to get smarter. Its happened to me too.

That super sucks, good looking clown that was. I've read a lot about fish getting killed by power heads and pumps, is there any way to prevent this? Mesh screen, or finer cage around the power head?
