I got up from my desk, and noticed something bright orange (or red) on the ground near my tank, with my cat staring at it... then I came to realize, it was my other clown fish!
My one fish has a history of aggression... It would nip at the other one, and a lot of the times, swim to the top of the tank going right at the other one. I guess this time it actually darted right out of the water, onto my carpet! I have my tank lid cracked open, and the feeding slot open on the top to let air circulate, so it doesn't get too hot in there. But I guess I need to change that now. Are clown fish known to jump out of the water like that? Right away, after finding him on my carpet, I picked it up, threw it back into the tank... it sank to the bottom, and didn't move. I was too late, I thought, and it was dead. Then it started to skid around on the bottom, coming back to life. Eventually, it was able to swim a bit around on the bottom, and make it's way around, avoiding its capture for some time, until I was able to put it into its own container. Upon further inspection, I noticed this odd streak on the side of it, and not sure if the cat scratched it or what. Is there anything else I should do? I can't believe what timing I had, and luck! How should I proceed from here? I already put my tank lid down. Other than that, it seems to be doing just fine, and my cat is waiting in suspense for another eventful escape and the next victim! :D

Qt and observe most likely it will be ok. Be prepared to pull and put into hospital tank

Since you caught it so quickly, it should be fine. Yes, clownfish, particularly in tanks without host anemones, will jump when picked on or spooked.
