My corals have been doing really good since the dino crash. BUT I'm starting to worry because I started seeing this string algae popping back up (last 2 pics) I've been running a fluval uv sterilizer at night. I'm going to try to put some under a microscope tonight to get a more accurate identification. Maybe I can figure out what I'm doing wrong. I just had a diatom bloom in both tanks as well.

All animals look very good & healthy, looks like you have good water flow. Have you tested parameters to see if something is spiking or dropping? What’s your lightings schedule & feeding practices?

I do whites on at 9:30am dim on rainy days and turn blues on and whites off at around 5-6. I feed a mixture of pellers, flakes, and frozen krill, frozen only once a week because it causes issues I believe, once a week reefroids as per instructions on bottles. Sometimes lightly overfeed and skip 1-2 feeding days a week. Haven't tested params since 2 weeks. The stuffbon the back of glass has been there for prob 2 months the new strings in front happened over the last 2 weeks. One ballooned up like dino.

Oh and lights off at 9:30pm

Finally got my sample last night. I was told its ostreopsis :( Why do i keep getting this algae?? Can someone tell me how to get rid of it permanently? Ive been running a UV sterilizer 12 hrs a night on and off for a month. I will have to get an up to date water test this evening.
