My Wellso and Acans seem to be suffering. Acans started shrinking about 2 months ago but seemed to recover about a month ago but now not doing so good again. My Wellso, which is one of my favorites was doing great for the first 6 months but now is I am afraid is dying. Been looking bad for the last 3 weeks. I moved him to my coral quarantine tank 3 days ago with only blue light running 110 Par and he looked better for one day but now has shrunk again showing skeleton. I moved him because my Chocolate brown Tang was nudging him because he knows when I feed the Wellso there is food there. I was thinking that may have been the issue. He is better than he was in the main display when he was totally shrunk into the middle of the skeleton but still not doing good. My tank has been running for 10 months and has a total water volume of 280 gallons. No Algae except for the little on the glass which I clean every 3 days when I start to see a little film. Coraline Algae spreading like crazy on the rock, overflow and Vortech after market covers so I believe my tank is maturing nicely. All corals are LPS and Softies. All other corals are doing OK as fare as I can see. Hammer even growing a new head. Running my external Refugium for the last 2 weeks with Chaeto. Prime 16 HD Fuge Light. Lots of hair algae in Refugium. Will be doing SPS when the tank matures a little more.
Any recommendations for helping me with my Wellso? Acans not too worried about.
Feed Corals every 3 to 4 days, Reef Roids, Enhanced Brine Shrimp, Mysis Shrimp and small pieces of shrimp. Wellso used to be a pig but wont eat since shrinking started.
Auto Water Change 3.5gal per day 7 days a week ( HW Marinemix Reefer Salt )
Lighting: 4 GHL Mitras 7206's ( 18.520K Kelvin 110 par at bottom ) 4hr ramp up and 2.5 hr ramp down
Temp 77.3- 78.2 GHL Probe
Salinity 1.0249 GHL Probe
PH 8.19-8.3 GHL Probe (CO2 Scrubber)
Redox 317mv goes down after water change then back up
NO3 12.7 Hanna Checker
PO4 .07 Hanna Checker
ALK 9.0 Hanna Checker ( Steady )
CAL 457 Hanna Checker ( Steady )
MAG 1490 and hardly changes according to Salifert Tester
Doing good for 6 months Not so good. Now in quarantine tank
