wellso color change

i have this wellso for a month now....when i first got it,it looks like this

honestly which looks better?

I liked it better when you first got it. Perhaps it's getting too much light? Can you shade it and see if it colors back up?

i would also say too much light...apparently they love low blue light..i know mine does..

First is better IMO. Try and reduce the light it has.

i have it shaded by my frag rack....

my lighting is 2x250w phoenix 14k with 4 actinic plus t5s....my tank is 15 tall..my light fixture is 11 inches high above the water surface...

what i notice is it went bigger so the flesh stretch out and the color got lighter and its more yellow than red though i can see more colors better than when i first got it..

i am switching my lights to radium 20k...

definitely bleached a bit. Mine did the same thing when I moved him higher in the tank. I put him back on the sand bed and he's getting his color back.

i forgot to say it starts looking like this when i shaded it with a frag rack...weird..

Seriously though, beautiful stuff. Those prism favias are sweet too.

you are funny:bigsmile:i just wanna know right away before its too late to do something....i dont want it to get too bleached....though sometimes some bleached corals are appealing because they look brighter:smile:though i dont wish my wellso to bleach...i will be getting my radium bulbs and i will keep everyone updated..i guess phoenix 14k is too much light for my shallow tank...

though it really started doing this when i shaded it with my frag rack...like 1 week....what if i take out the frag rack and not shade it anymore?im just scared the yellow will turn rusty orange.

thanks that favia is my favorite....i would love to get a dragon soul though

yes thats my 40+ eyes miami hurricane
heres an older pic under actinics only..my favorite...my husband keeps bugging me to frag it...but i dont want to..i wanna grow it really big
