Agree, it happens frequently. We started with one around March, now we have 7. From what I understand the reason for the split is still not fully understood. I have read debates that the will anemone will propagate if it is happy and healthy or it will split for self preservation if is is stessed as a self defense measure. Either way it's really neat to see!

Don’t you love it?? Now that it’s split once, it’s gonna split like crazy lol. Get ready for nems everywhere!!!!
I had them split and sit beside each other and not move at all. Other splits moved to the other side of the tank. Why? I dont know, these are crazy critters. Ours have always stayed open unless I'm cleaning the glass and touch them with the mag or adjusting the flow or when my lights cycle down.

Did you name the original nem? Now that you have two, will there be two different names?!
Personally I went the legion naming convention and call them Steven for singular, and Stevens for plural. Except for that one time where one decided to go on an adventure (sump ride and got gyre'd) - I called him Rambo for as long as I could distinguish him from the rest (due to the gyre-ing). We still don't know who drew first blood.
