We're do you buy your fish?

Justin i lived in the Bronx many years ago and have purchase from NY Aquatics if he still sell out of his garage..terrible fish. Expensive an all of my fish dies. He has copper in his system.
I've spent over $4,000 in fish from NY aquatic in the last two years I never had one die yet

I like the idea of seeing not just the fish I'm going to buy but the condition of the store and aquariums. If a lot of the tanks look poorly maintained, I'm leery. To that point, I've yet to encounter an LFS with good marine/reef stock that I'm confident in. Some are no better than the chains (Pet World) where their marine tanks look like a warzone (dead fish in the corners or it looks like they are deliberately trying to grow mats of hair algae).

I live in the Milwaukee area (Wisconsin). Any suggestions for good LFS in Wisconsin or northern Illinois? I'm willing to drive for quality. :)

Wow, in the spirit of Halloween an old dead thread. :D

Ha! Yes. Unlike a zombie, this thread rising from the grave won't try to eat your brains. :)

Does Diver's Den have a retail store? Would still be a long drive from Milwaukee to Rhinelander though, like 4 hours each way.

They do have a retail store and we have a summer place in the northern part of the state so during that time of year I could stop by on my way home. I’m hoping there are some better places in the southern part of the state or in northern IL.
