What could I sell a 3-4 inch West African Angelfish for to my LFS?

I would honestly try to sell him to a local reefer. An LFS will give you a fraction of what they’ll ultimately sell it for, probably 25-33% of the retail cost. That also depends on if they’re knowledgeable enough to know it’s a rare fish.

LiveAquaria lists these guys at up to $550-700, I think you’d be lucky to get $200.

$200 from an LFS (and I think that’s high). You’d possibly be able to ask for more selling to a fellow reefer.

I’m not an LFS, so no. Just speaking from experience, they offer pennies on the dollar when a reefer brings in something for sale or trade.
