West LA stores

Anyone have info on any new stores in West LA or nearby?

Medusa seems to be getting rid of all their SW, not much is left.
Nature Aquarium on Santa Monica has only a few SW fish.
The Aquarium on Pico (across from McDonalds) is gone.
The store that was on Wilshire and Lincoln for 20 years is gone.
Allan's in the Marina has no SW that I remember.
FraggleReef has no site or updates for a year.

My favorites drives are Tongs and Vivid, but I have not been to either one in over 2 years since I'm stuck in the office everyday.

Isn't there anything even in Westwood? Any college area should have lots of stores.

Update:

I still just cannot believe that UCLA students have absolutely no LFS, whereas CSUN student have about 10.

I'm in the Pasadena area, I'll be driving up to Santa Clarita this week end,
do you think vivid is worth the "detour" on the way back ?
I'm mainly looking for zoas frags this month.

Other than this, if you ever come aroundthe aera, The Pasadena Tropical Fish ( on Colorado) is not the fanciest place,
but owner is nice, and I've been happy with live stock and advises.

Yea Vivid is a must stop, although it's on the other side of the valley. Once you are there though, there are 10 other places a few miles a way.

Stop by reef raft usa def a must see if your lookin for nice high end corals

This is so true... even if it is from 2012!!!

I liked to go to Vivid if i had time and traffic was good...

Another decent one is the aquarium on Sepulveda and sawtelle... culver city. No fancy sps but people are nice and livestock is healthy...

We should (if it doesn't exist already) keep some sort of "R2R loves this store for what reason" list for the different LA areas,
I'm taking the dog to LB's dog beach this Saturday, wish I had a nice list of shops to visit in the long beach area.

If you have time you can check out Gravey fish and Pet in City of Rosemead....8062 Garvey Ave
Rosemead, CA 91770...they just get a shipment of nice Zoas this week.
