I’m starting my first reef tank a Waterbox 20 thats going to be stocked with clown pair a goby and a boenny with a bta and a couple corals. I’m thinking of starting with wet dry rock from a local lfs would it be beneficial to get rock from two different stores to promote more biodiversity of bacteria?

I don't think it will matter. They may have different bacterias, but you will likely get that when you buy coral, snails, crabs, etc.. However, keep in mind that live rock, especially from an lfs tank (i.e. their coral system), may come with a lot of unwanted pests unless it's in a pest free bin separate from the rest.

They put dry rock into big tubs that only have rock in them they are covered in coralline. I know I don’t want to pay for real live rock but I just can’t decide between out of water dry rock or the rock from the tubs. I swear every time I read a different article they always contradict each other.

Oh ok sounds good. Usually individual judgement is best on rock since you know the store best :)
