Wha do you use to clean algae from the glass

What does everyone use to clean algae from the glass? With the flipper, it leaves streaks and I just can't get it as nice as with using a glove and sticking my hand inside the tank. Thinking of just doing the glover twice a week and ditching the flipper.

IMO the best glass cleaner is just a magnetic scrubber, you can find them in any LFS or online.

Just taking a stab at this, but is your Flipper blade in need of replacing? (Or not sized right for the glass thickness?) Because mine doesn’t leave streaks.

I really like my hammerhead by algaefree but there are many good ones out there. I still have to make a couple passes to have it clear. Best of luck

It's brand new. I'm using the Flipper Nano on a Waterbox 60.2. Which one are you using?

I tried to quickly find some specs on that tank and couldn’t, but by eyeballing a photo I’d think you’d need to go I size up from the Nano. A Flipper Nano is best used on about a 20-25 gallon tank, max (IMHO). Alternatively, it could be that you just happen to get an uneven blade. If you wanted to spend a few bucks on replacement blades and try one from the package and see if it eliminated the problem, that would be an option. Best wishes.

I was getting this really hard green algae on my glass for awhile so I bought a Continuum Aqua Blade (mine is the acrylic version) that was recommended to me on here to get that algae off but now that algae seems to be receding and it's been replaced with a film type algae that appears every three or four days so I just use an old credit card for that. I like having my handa in my tank.

Mighty Magnet (I have acrylic tanks) but they work awesome. +1 on magic eraser type scrubbers. I use the ones branded for aquariums online.

I use the fl!pper but just go over it a few times. I prefer one with a blade like that over another and I like that it is difficult to get sand stuck underneath which can scratch the glass.
